I Was So Surprised

-Main Street-

Grim: Oh, Yuu! Look at the edges of Main Street!

A lot of guests are all lined up and waving at us!!

Guests: Trick or treat!

Lilia: Here you go! Happy Halloween!

Children: There’s so much candy!

Hooray! Throw more!

Malleus: What’s the magic word?

Kalim: If you want candy, shout it loud! Rawr~~!!

Ghost A: Everyone, say it with me…… Ready, go!

All: Trick or Treat!

Grim: We get to ride on this super mega flashy thing that looks like a huge monster!

Everyone is waving at us…… Lots of yummy candy is falling from the sky…...

My friends from school are next to me, wearing cool clothes, and smiling......

Halloween......

Halloween is the best!

> You seem to be having fun, Grim.	> Did you warm up to Halloween after all?
Grim: Yeah! I wish it was Halloween every day!	Grim: When we were being chased around, I thought it was gonna be a bad time, but…… Now, it’s suuuuper fun!

 

Vil: Didn’t we tell you? That we’d give everyone “the best Halloween ever.”

Grim: Oh, I guess you did!

Vil: This year, I was selected to be the Chairman of the Organization Committee. Doing things “as usual” would be boring.

So we prepared a special parade to give our guests an even more enjoyable Halloween.

Of course, we just had to include the ghosts and Grim, since they were the ones who garnered the most attention this year.

Grim: I was so surprised when you said, “We’re going to start the parade now!”

When did you even have time to prepare such a big flashy truck?

Jade: Truck……? Ah, you must mean the float.

Cater: To make sure it paralleled each dorm’s decorations, we started preparing it a month ago, and have been working on it steadily ever since.

In addition to preparing for the party, we got the float and sweets together for the parade, and made costumes for all the students!

We were already just barely scraping by with the budget~ But thanks to Jade’s budget management skills, we were able to prepare everything without a hitch.

(…...Although now that I think about it, all of this would be totally impossible to prepare with a normal budget…...)

(How’d he pull it off?)

Jade: I simply knew where to press the budget! So long as you know how to squeeze out every last drop, saving this amount of money is trivial.

Additionally, because there were so many guests this year, the populace of the Sage’s Island were very pleased…...

We received support from them as they said, “We want even more happy guests, and to maintain these numbers for next year.”

Thanks to them, the parade was far more extravagant than originally planned.

I also think it’s because of Cater’s expertise that the float was so beloved by the guests.

Certainly, we alone couldn’t have made the decor so, as he would put it, “shining.”

Vil: Right. I was so busy getting the costumes ready for everyone that I couldn’t complete work on the float.

Cater: “#TruePowerOFNRC #WeGetShitDone” is how we felt♪

Vil: The other Organization Committee members also spared no effort for our guests’ enjoyment.

I’m exceedingly pleased with this year’s Organization Committee members.

…...They are, after all, fantastic foils to me.

Cater: You’re really saying that, even in this situation~!?

Jade: Fufufu. It’s an honor to be cast as a foil to the beautiful Vil Schoenheit.

Guests: Trick or Treat!

Epel: Boo! Instead of getting treats, maybe you’d like to play a trick?

Jack: Rawr~! We still have lots of candy. Have as much fun as you want.

Guests: Happy Halloween!

Azul: Boo! Please, enjoy this Halloween down to your very bones.

Deuce: Happy Halloween! Let’s party hard ‘till the end!

Idia: ……Happy Halloween. The most important thing is that everyone is having fun.

Ghost B & C: Hee hee hee hee hee. Happy Halloween!

Jade: The parade is nearing its end.

Grim: Huh? We’re getting off the float……? Where are we going?

Vil: You already know, don’t you?

Cater: What’ve you been waiting for on the final day of Halloween?

Grim: Oh! Y- You mean……

Cater: That’s riiiight♪

Ghost A & Grim: IT’S PARTY TIME!!
